Friends
When a smile automatically comes to your face when you hear
the word friends, it’s a sign that you are living a great life. Friends are a
mixture of all your emotions and love. They are like family to many.
They are there for
you in your joy, sorrow, highs and lows and sometimes becomes the most
important people in your life. They are like a shadow in the sun, an aid to
your wounds, a hope in your life and a love in your doom.
William Shakespeare, regarded as the most eminent English writer
defined friends as the one that knows you as you are, understands where you
have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.
The definition is as beautiful as his write ups.
A friend is not a person who only loves you but also understand
you and help you to scale new heights in your life. He may be a dreamer sometimes
or can be realistic. A great one knows when to be a motivate us and when to caution
us.
Choosing and making friends are as important, as your status
in the society and your financial conditions. The problem comes when you realise
that you have become close to a person who is not good for you. At that time, it
becomes a dilemma whether to leave him or not. You tend to overthink what will
he think about me, am I doing right or not.
But, one thing you should remember is that, a friend is
someone who brings out the best in you. If the opposite is happening then that
means, there is a need to change it. You can do one thing if he really means a
lot to you. You can tell him that you are not happy with a certain kind of behavior
and he should change it. Remember, you are doing it not just for your own benefit
but also for him as well It will help him to become a better person as well.
However, if you still not satisfied, then you can either
limit the conversation or end it. You must have heard surround yourself with
positive people. It’s true! The environment we live in is a great factor in
influencing our personality and one of the key elements is your friend circle. So,
it becomes very important to have a great friend circle filled with ambition, great
personality and thinking.
It is also important to have people with trust back and
forth. Because believe me, breaking up with friends feels a lot worse than a
breakup. So, why not choose the ones who you think will be by your side always.
As people have different perspectives, some say that having
a large friend circle is better others say that quality matters and a smaller
circle is the best. Everyone has their opinion. You cannot change that, you can
only express yours.
Personally, I have a small friend circle (circle of trust as
I say it). I prefer to have few trustworthy people around me. But even in this
small group, I can see variety of thoughts. Some are crazy, others are mature,
some believes in creativity, others are realistic, sometimes, they support me
in realizing my dreams and sometimes, they correct me when I am doing anything wrong.
But, the one thing that is common is that they are always there for me and are irreplaceable.
Having a smaller group is beneficial, as you are closer to your circle, The
closer your bond, the better.
As I have a small group, I think it is better but that doesn’t
mean that having a large friend circle is wrong. It has its own benefits. You
can get to know many people, understand them and develop new perspectives but sometimes
it becomes difficult to maintain the level of charm with everyone at the same
time.
Friendship is a feeling which cannot be expressed in words.
But, its importance is indispensable. As it is a combination of all the feelings, it just changes in every situation. It becomes care when you are with your family, it becomes fun when you are with your mates and it becomes love when you are with your partner. I just want to say that I am proud to have the friends I have and will always
be. This blog is dedicated to them.
