How to do self love.

In this modern era, technology has increased significantly. It has made people closer to each other but somewhere down the line, it has robbed us from the most important thing for us, that is self-love. We are constantly comparing ourselves to others, developing habits, behavior and skills like others. As a result, we are not valuing what we are and because of that, many people are no longer the same person they used to be. This may be the prime reason that depression has increased significantly in the 21st century, specially in case of teenagers.

Losing or getting rejection from jobs, loved ones, failing to perform important tasks or becoming a victim of bullying. The reason can be many but, the solution to remain a positive person and never going into depression is one: The Practice of Self-Love.

Self-love is unconditional and life-long love for yourself. It is a feeling of appreciation of yourself for the person who you are. That means, no comparison with others and try to understand yourself in the best way. Be what you are because this is the first step towards becoming better than you already are.


 A self-love ritual
      
      Habits play an important part in our life. They sometimes can show the reflection of ourselves to others. So, one needs to develop habits which is best suited for his/her life and which will increase the productivity in the work. Regardless of whatever habit you choose to have, always make room for one habit that a ritual of self-love. Just for a few minutes, daily, once, or even twice, say to yourself, that you are unique in your own way and have the same potential as everyone around you. Slowly, you will be able to see changes.
         
     What’s working for me 
    
      Self-love is getting to know yourself better. If you know what is important and best for you, you will make right decisions which will make you feel proud of yourself. But it doesn’t just stop by just choosing what is the best. You should give ample time and try to make improvements every day to perfect it. If you have chosen what is best for you, there is no doubt you will leave no stone unturned to excel in it

      When you give your best in front of everyone, you will receive appreciation from others and you will get a special feeling inside of you as well. If you are good at public speaking, continue to work on it by changing gestures, way of communicating, reaching to the audience. Nobody will like a monotonous speaker for a long time. This way, when you deliver your message and every time you will get positive feedbacks which will make you do it more and loving you more.


      Take care of your body

      A healthy mind and body can only provide you energy to move forward towards your goal. A mind full of positive thoughts and a body with a good immune system can take care of itself in any situation regardless how bad it is. On the other hand, a negative mind will always fear about all the challenges ahead and you know very well what an unhealthy body can do to your progress. 

      So, read books, listen to great public figures, stay away from negativity as much as possible, follow motivational pages, pages of success stories to develop your mind. To develop your mind, take care of your eating habits, just make a routine to have enough water, eat something within 2-3 hours, do some walking for just 15 minutes and most importantly take 7-9 hours of sleep every day. By doing all these, you will start feeling some positive changes about yourself. 

      No comparisons 

      Every human develops different perspectives mainly because the way of living of every person is different from others. We cannot judge others as we don’t know what they have gone through in their life. Some excel in sports, some in administration while some in management. Every person has their own skills. We have talked earlier how self-love can help you to asses yourself better. It also means that we should not compare ourselves to others. 

      Why we are comparing? We can do anything we want. Now you can say that okay we may develop habits and skills but what can we do about our looks. Well, the answer will always be self-love. There are so many good-looking actors and actresses, even then you can hear some people saying that they don’t look that good. So, my friend the only reason that some of them are good and some are bad is the perspective of others. Lots of people will come and say bad things about you in front or behind your back, it doesn’t mean that you are what they see. You are a beautiful person who can bring a change in this world if you believe that in yourself.
 
The perfect example of self-love should go to Nick Vujicic. He is a man who was born with a disorder, so he doesn’t have arms and legs. Just think how much difficult it would have for him to even perform simple daily tasks. He was a victim of bullying and even attempted to suicide. But he is a popular name now, that means that he has done something great in his life.

He did a very simple thing. He accepted that he will not have a normal life like other children and people and he must do more work than others to keep up with them. So, he started exploring different options for himself and started loving his life. A person who can easily blame God for his misery, decided to devote his time to God and become an evangelist (a preacher). Today, Nick Vujicic is a painter, swimmer, skydiver, motivational speaker, evangelist, and have visited more than 57 countries. Where else can you get the inspiration of self-love than him and if he can do all such things then what’s your excuse.
